First daughter of Varian, the Goddess Lleis walks hand in hand with Her brothers, Life and Death.

In the beginning, there was nothing but Truth and Lies within the darkness. Lleis looked upon the empty space and raised Her voice in song. The soft notes of Her melody wove together the spark that pierced through the darkness, the spark that fills all sentient beings with life. This is Her gift, the gift of Birth.

As Life and Death tested the spark, the Lady saw fit to raise Her hand again. Death shall not be the end, but a new beginning. For all seasons turn and return, all days must end and then rise again, all life must die and be renewed. It is only through the Lady that the spark and body reunite in a joyous rebirth, perpetuating the never-ending Cycle of life.

The way to the Lady is through Hope; Hope in the darkest hour of the cruelest winter that the sun will rise once more, and the land will turn to bring the reprieve of spring. Hope that even as an enemy bores down on you, or slides his blade into your heart, you will rise up again and defeat him, for life goes on and the Cycle turns. All that is done is never truly finished; all that is dead will rise again.

Appearance

Swathed in the delicate rainfall of flower petals, the radiant form of Lleis, Goddess of Renewal is here.

A storm of icy silver flakes encircles the form of Lleis, Goddess of Renewal.

She is an Immortal and is surrounded by a muted halo of dawn's first light. Despite a demure stature, Her viridian eyes allow no illusions of the hidden strength which lies within. Skin as pale as the winter's first snow stands out starkly against the thick fringe of midnight eyelashes that frame Her eyes. Her head is crowned by unevenly cropped golden tresses, which carry with them the scent of starlight and the red moon's harvest. Her right arm has been coloured in ink strong enough to penetrate Immortal skin. A simple orchid with a sapphire centre is surrounded by a band of protective black; the harshness of the dark ink is broken by silver thorns, etched on them words barely visible to the mortal eye. Although much of Her arm is kept hidden by Her robe, the tattoo stands out in stark contrast to Her otherwise unornamented skin. She is wearing:

a circlet woven from tiny budding flowers

a luminous bracelet of flame

a simple white robe, hemmed in spring blossoms

Shrine Descriptions

Major Shrine Descriptions

Encircled by a ring of alabaster stones, an elder wood sapling thrives here, bathed in a muted halo of light.

--
Seven alabaster stones form an unbroken circle around the elder wood sapling, each stone engraved with a different symbol. The three stones which stand at the Eastern, north-western, and south-western edges of the circle are marked with the symbols of birth, life and death. The four remaining stones bear the seasonal marks, their smoothed faces turned towards the sky. The inner circle is littered with plant debris, creating an incredibly rich soil for the sapling to thrive on. Standing no more then two feet in height, this tiny sapling is comprised of several springy branches and a healthy collection of golden-red leaves. Like the glow of the horizon just before sunrise, this shrine to the Lady of Renewal shimmers with a muted halo of light.

Minor Shrine Descriptions

A massive, gnarled stump here supports a growing elder wood tree and glows with a soft halo of light.

--
Atop this large stump grows a miniature elder wood tree, whose branches stretch wide and full of life. The tiny leaves of the tree are a beautiful golden-red, and even as they tumble from the branches to land upon the stump, they grow anew upon the tree's limbs. Around the circumference of the large round stump a number of letters have been laid into the wood with silver. Carved into the gnarled bark of one side is the shape of a robin in flight, holding a sprig of elder wood in its beak. This shrine of Lleis, Goddess of Renewal seems to shine with the light of a spring dawn in even the darkest of environments.
