Slyphe
From The Ankyrean Archives
All water, in its progression to join the ancient oceans of its origin, is forever adaptable, changing itself into a multitude of shapes and forms to best serve the moment. At once as sly and winding as a gentle river and as forceful as a terrible tsunami, the element is unbound and free in its temerity.
As is water, so is the Deity whom presides over its forces. Ensconced within a cocoon of His own Creation, Lord Slyphe metamorphosed in form, responding to the growing corruption felt throughout the world outside. Thus did He decide that the world required nothing less than a great deluge, a cleansing flood to wipe away the stagnation which has festered. The boundless spirit of the water element is made manifest in the form of Lord Slyphe, the Tempest, deliberate in His actions with mortal and immortal alike, yet constantly shifting and changing to suit His aims. Quick tempered and vengeful, He broods upon no act with fear of reprisal or harsh judgment. In the halls of the Lord's temple, His followers are heralded as champions of progress, and duly rewarded in their service to their liege.

Appearance
He is an Immortal and is nine feet tall with an amphibious look. His skin is covered in scales, the numberless plates resembling a fish's scales or a suit of armor. These scales shimmer pale blue and sea green, the iridescent nature of each causing His frame to appear to undulate like ripples on a pond. His fingers and toes are connected with lucent webbing between the digits as delicate as a spider's silk. More as a badge of honor than a true injury, a jagged discolored scar mars His right side. His broad face is characterized by sharp cheekbones and a square chin. Closely cropped hair, like knots of seaweed, frames His face like a crown. He is wearing:
a small fold in reality
a plain leather weaponbelt
a shimmering ring of shifting blue-green waves
Temple
Located off the shore of Shastaan, next to Kelsys.
Shrine Descriptions
Major Shrine Description
Three heavily scaled eels, heads raised to as if to strike, coil protectively around a glowing coral alter.
--
A lavishly ornate alter composed entirely of coral spindles forms a
massive crevasse. Forming a dangerously looking hood, three heavily
scaled eels knot themselves around the base of the edifice. A rich aqua
glow emanates from their smooth hides, and slight crackles of energy
seem to flow down theirs bodies into the shrine.
Minor Shrine Description
A shimmering ball of energy hovers here above a multi-colored coral pedestal ornamented with seashells.
--
Individual layers of ice, water, and gaseous mist form a rotating
ball that shimmers and spins above a massive pedestal comprised of
brightly colored spires of coral. Each coral spire varies in color from
deep blue to aqua and from pale blue to sea green reminiscent of the
variegating tones of the ocean's surface, viewed from below. Seashells,
some tiny and others large are set around the shrine, as if left by the
faithful. The entire globe bobbles up and down, as if riding on an
invisible current and is surrounded by a chill mist -- the movement
furthering the already tempestuous and chaotic beat of the shrine.
