Viewing

Visiting the Ankyrean Archives (hereinafter referred to as the 'website') allows the server to collect non-personal statistical information from your computer.

Without an Account

Viewing pages alone, without an account, does not expose any personal information neither publicly nor to individuals with administrative access to the website. Statistical data collected is merely used for the wiki to generate statistics about, for instance, popular pages, and is discarded periodically.

While Logged In

Page logs generated by the wiki will identify you by your username and your IP address. However, it will only be visible to persons with administrative access to the site, and will not be used for any purpose except when legal issues require it, or at the site owner's discretion when such action is necessary to protect the interests of the website, its owners, or its contributors. The website will store a cookie on your machine, and may not be removed should you wish to log in to edit pages.

Contribution of Content

Contributing content to the website will identify you by your username, on a publicly viewable revision history. Your IP address will, however, only be visible to persons with administrative access to the site, and will not be used for any purpose except when legal issues require it, or at the site owner's discretion when such action is necessary to protect the interests of the website, its owners, or its contributors.

User Deletion of Content

By using the deletion function in the wiki, content is not permanently deleted. A publicly viewable revision log will remain on the server. Only individuals with administrative access to the site may delete content permanently, and such action will not be taken except in the case of severe violation of policy that may be against the interests of the website, its owners, or its contributors.

User Accounts and Passwords

Users are required to change their passwords following account creation facilitated by the site owner, and choose passwords with sufficient strength to protect their accounts from unauthorized access and subsequent misuse. Users are fully responsible for the actions performed under their respective handles, including but not limited to, page edits and deletions. No user nor administrator shall publicly release the password of another user in any circumstance.

Violation of Rules

Should a malicious page edit be traced to your handle, your IP address will be used by those with administrative access to exclude your network from participation in contributing to the wiki, either temporarily or permanently depending on the gravity of the offense. It will not be used nor stored for any other purpose.

Release of Personal Information

The Ankyrean Archives will not sell or release private information provided by its users to any third party, unless express consent is provided by the user, or when such is required by law. All information provided at account request will only be archived in the email account of the site owner for administrative purposes. All information provided under my preferences is only accessible to persons with administrative access to the website, and said information will not be used for any purpose unless required by unforeseen circumstance.

Availability of Personal Information

Your personal information shall only be made available to persons with administrative access to the site, should it be required under any circumstance. However, as stated in the above section, this information will be handled with maximum confidentiality unless otherwise required.
